About Me

Hello! I’m Guilherme Vila Maior, I’m 24 and based in Porto, Portugal.

Ever since I was a young kid I’ve enjoyed having my eyes on a screen and playing games, wether it was an Harry Potter game on the family’s computer, a good old Dragon Ball on the Playstation 2 with my neighbours, or even Finding Nemo on the Gameboy Advanced SP. Throughout up to High School, where I studied Visual Arts, I was a very digital kid with an online presence, which gave me grounds to pursue Communication Design at the Fine Arts Faculty of University of Porto where I focused in Web Design and Video. The particular interest in Web Design and Interaction Design was complemented during my Erasmus in Barcelona, Spain. Back in Porto, the continuation of Web Design led me to specialise in Interaction Design, solidifying my relationship with User Interface Design and Interaction. To continue building up my academic course, I then pursued the Multimedia Masters at the Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto, where I continue to pursue User Interface and Interaction.

On a different branch, I’m a former Hockey and Volleyball player, I’m part of the choir “Coro Mozart", I have my Spotify always on, and I have a big spot in my heart for Oil Painting and a sweet spot for cinematography and video.
